ASSIGNMENT

On the sheet I gave you for the magic wand, you will have a total of eight (8) images to complete.  Four of them are from the follow along lessons while the other four are your choice but you must get them on pixabay.com  If you don’t remember how to download the images from pixabay, refer back to the previous lesson.

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend modes allow us to take two images and blend them in together.  With a little bit of touching up we can make things look very realistic.  You will watch and follow along with the tutorial videos below, then you will create three of your own composite images.

2.7 Letter Portrait

INSTRUCTIONS

This assignment we will start using multiple tools to create something cool, called a Letter Portrait.

TUTORIAL VIDEOS

ASSIGNMENT

This project is worth 100pts and you must take care to do it correctly!  All letter portraits must be:

  • Portrait 720×900 or  Landscape 900×720
  • The letter must be of YOUR last name!
  • At the bottom (see example below) you must include Letter Portrait-Name and type the font that was used.
 

Here are your portrait options:

OPTION A – Image of Yourself

  • No selfies
  • Use a photo you already have, if you get it from your cell phone, you can do that but you must use the center table area in the room.
  • Clean, safe for school
  • Image must not be cut off, for example if you are extending your arm but the photo didn’t include your arm, or half your head, that wont’ work.
  • Use the first letter of your last name as the letter.
 
OPTION B – Historical Figure
  • Avoid controversial or figures that would be inappropriate for school (common-sense).  Email me if you are concerned.
  •  Image must be clean 
  • Image must not be cut off, for example if you are extending your arm but the photo didn’t include your arm, or half your head, that wont’ work.
  • Use the first letter of your last name as the letter.
